ACL premier netball action returns to the EA Networks Centre on Thursday night (July 29) after a week off for the second week of the school holidays.

One of the teams shaping up to be a real contender for the ACL premier 1 title in 2021 will take to the court in the first game of the night on the ACL court, when Celtic Auric Electrical A take on Rylib Southern Lights.

Celtic Auric Electrical A are one of two unbeaten teams in ACL premier 1 after two games in the third and final championship round. The other is last year’s winners Hampstead Ray White A, and they’re on court second on Thursday night against College A.

The final game of the night will see Methven Wareings take on United KFC A, with both sides eager for a win to propel themselves up the table.

United KFC A are yet to notch up a win in the championship round, having gone down to Celtic Auric Electrical A in the first week of the school holidays, the week where Methven Wareings got their first win of the round on the board, beating College A.

In ACL premier 2, Mt Somers Victory A are the frontrunners with two strong wins to their name in the championship round so far, while Hampstead Ray White B and Celtic Darryl Phillips Motor Company B are also two from two.

This week’s clashes feature a top of the table showdown between Mt Somers Victory A and Hampstead Ray White A, while Celtic Darryl Phillips Motor Company B will play Southern Mayfield Transport, and the two Methven sides – EuroAgri and Shearmac – will square off in the other game.

In ACL premier 3, all three Ashburton College sides are in action, with the U18As taking on College B, and the College Y10 As playing Mt Somers Victory B, while United KFC B – the team currently topping the table - has the bye.
