In 2024 Mid Canterbury Netball is using the Game Day App for scoring of games.

How does this work?

  1. Your School/Club Coordinator will send you your team's unique scoring code.  If you don't have the code, please see your Club/School Coordinator.
  2. Team Scorers need to download the MyNetball Manager App from the App or Play Store
  3. You will need to login - if you have an existing Sporty login you can use that. (you will see games from 2023 on the app, please ignore).  Otherwise click the Register button and enter your details.
  4. You will be asked to enter your team's unique code and away you go.  We suggest you view the 3 videos on the right.
    1. The first is how to set yourself up on the App.
    2. The second is how to set up your team on Game Day and Submit team sheets
    3. The third is how to score your game and submit the final score.
  5. If you are an existing App user, click on the 3 buttons at the top right of the app, then click on Scorer Code to enter your new code for 2024.

Below are some common questions around Live Scoring

  • There are some questions around data usage ... please see below the Sporty article on this: https://support.sportsground.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403193094413-Sporty-Game-Day-App-mobile-data-usage  ... You can score the game offline.  But it will not be live scoring if there is no data or wifi. And you will not be able to upload the final score or submit your team sheet.  You can submit your team sheet before the game, at home for example, and submit and then score without data if you are low on data, at the courts. There is the ability to hook in to the EA Networks Centre's free wifi while scoring.
  • You can have more than one scorer for each team.  Once a code is given out, that person will have the scorer code for the season.  It is recommended there is at least 2 scorers per team, maybe 3. But only one person can score a game and you can not change devices mid-game.
  • Up until the final score is submitted, you can still make team changes.  If you submit your team sheet in the morning and it changes before the game is played, you can make changes.  Once the team score is submitted you cannot change the team sheet.  The Centre can make changes if you have written a note on the team sheet.
  • Clubs and Schools Coordinators can check their team eligibility and get player reports.
  • For each game, yes there will be 2 scorers, scoring on separate phones!  They MUST SIT TOGETHER at the bench, or make themselves known to the scorer fromt the opposition team and wear a yellow 'scorer' arm band, to take the score. Please ensure you return arm bands at the end of the game for the next person to use.
